St. Peter's and St. Paul's Malankara Syrian Church in Rome dates back to 2007 when some devotees under the leadership of Rev. Dn. Aji George and Rev. Dn. Prince Paulose, owing allegiance to the Holy Apostolic Throne of St. Peter gathered at Pontifical Beda College, Near Basilica San Paolo, Rome. The meeting commenced with prayers. The participants expressed their ardent desire to follow in the footsteps of their forefathers and declared their allegiance to H.H. Patriarch of Antioch and All the East. They decided to contact other like-minded people in and around Rome.

The Rev. Deacons was entrusted with the responsibility to regularly update H.G. Dr. Kuriakose Mor Theophilose, the various activities of the Association. The members worked under strict guidance and instruction from H.G. Dr. Kuriakose Mor Theophilose. Fr. Prince Paulose celebrated a Holy Mass at Chapel of Pontifical University Sant' Anselmo on 18th October Sunday 2009. The faithful members of the Jacobite community while regularly urged them of the need to form a congregation. H.G. Dr. Kuriakose Mor Theophilose allows permission to start a new congregation in Rome.
